Flanagan | Bilton is seeking a Business Personal Property Specialist to join the team.

The general duties of the Business Personal Property Specialist are to collect and analyze business financial and personal property data for the purposes of creating, reviewing, forecasting, and filing business personal property returns that are compliant with business personal property assessment statutes and administrative rules of the various jurisdictions throughout the United States.

This is an in-office position with office hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support.
  • Review business property data, review and file returns, returns.
  • Manage the filing and appeal processes for business personal property returns.
  • Perform various analyses for clients, such as tax projections annual budgets, communicate returns and appeal status, and review/discuss client needs.
  • Present and negotiate returns and appeals with various assessing jurisdictions.
  • Communicate and present the firm's services to potential clients.
  • Review and approve invoices.

Requirements:


  • Business personal property experience
  • Strong analytical background
  • Minimum Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Compensation
Starting Salary: 75,000

  • 120 hours of PTO after a 90day probation period (unused hours are forfeited annually)
  • Typically, 17 plus paid holidays

  • 3% of salary employer 401k contribution after two years of employment
