The Patient Care Coordinator greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner, as well as instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors.

Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-5:30PM MST (8-hours per day, 40-hours per week). Supervisor will determine the schedule upon hire.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait timeComplete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesLeading other members of the teamProcess walk-in patients and visitorsAnswers phones and schedules appointmentsAnswer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as neededManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etcEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicDemonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in own functionSometimes acts as a technical resource to others in own functionProactively identifies solutions to non-standard requestsSolves moderately complex problems on ownWorks with team to solve complex problemsPlans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectivesMay coordinate work of other team membersPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)6+ months of customer service experienceIntermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsWilling and able to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics if neededMust possess a valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience in a medical office environment1+ years of experience with electronic health records1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experienceKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to handle cash and to count money at high volumes including mathematical computations

Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
