    1. Identify, develop, and drive new business opportunities with distribution in the North American Mining markets
    2. Define, develop, and implement sales strategies to effectively sell engines and systems
    3. Establish achievable but challenging short- and long-term goals designed to promote and increase Rolls-Royce Solutions market penetration in mining
    4. Establish and/or enhance existing customer relationships, at the highest management level
    5. Structure, negotiate, and secure sales contracts, in close collaboration with controlling
    6. Work with the Service Sales team to negotiate and secure service-related contracts (e.g. VCA, EC)
    7. Provide project management leadership for mining projects
    8. Maintain regular contact with Rolls-Royce Solutions distributors, dealers and end-users
    9. Manage assigned account responsibilities from a total sales & service support perspective
    10. Track and report market trends, competitor activity, business conditions and account status, which will affect business
    11. Liaise with internal departments to optimize technical and commercial solutions
    12. Prepare and provide professional sales presentations to distributors, dealers and end-users
    13. Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner to create goodwill and achieve future sales success
    14. Provide accurate and timely input for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting
    15. Maintain knowledge of mtu products, applications and policies and ensures distribution contacts remain current
    16. Attend local trade shows and events and reports activities
    17. Control expenditures
    18. Keep company property clean, organized, and operational
    19. Promote a compliance culture in your area of responsibility and live the letter and spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
    20. Perform special projects as required

    Daily work is performed in an office and outside sales environments. This position has a traditional work schedule (Monday - Friday). Weekend travel may be required.

    While performing duties of this position, employee will visit the customer's mine sites and may be required to work inside or outside of the facility. The employee must pass a health physical for mine access as required by each mining company. The mine sites can be at an altitude up to 5000 meters. While working outside, employee will occasionally endure hot, cold, and humid temperature conditions. The employee is also occasionally required to work in environmental conditions where there are fumes, odors, gases, and dust. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous. The employee is responsible for wearing hearing and other personal protective equipment as needed.

    While performing the duties of this position in various work environments, physical demands on the employee include the ability to sit, stand, stoop, climb stairs, maintain balance, kneel, crouch and squat. Specific vision requirements for this position include having the ability to adjust focus and see in color.

    Qualifications:

    Required:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Business field and 5 years of experience in technical sales & service management of industrial equipment, or 9 years of experience in technical sales & service management of industrial equipment
    2. Strong technical knowledge & demonstrated success in value selling complex power systems including diesel engines
    3. Self-starter with the ability and willingness to work independently for extended time periods, without direct supervision and direction
    4. Excellent ability to make independent decisions
    5. Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
    6. Excellent interpersonal skills
    7. Excellent negotiation skills
    8. High level of analytical ability and critical thinking
    9. Strong leadership skills, especially in addressing issues that cross internal departments
    10. Proficient with PC, CRM, MS Office Suite
    11. Proficient in English
    12. Ability to travel domestic & international up to 50% of the time
    Preferred:
    1. Knowledge of mining equipment and MTU products
    2. Knowledge of mining applications
    3. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services
