Shield HealthCare is looking for an
Associate Product Manager to create and manage a solid mix of product lines that is well represented to Health care Plans and our customers.
Responsible for acting on requests for new products, product line rationalization and gross profit enhancement, internal and external communication, sales support, product lifecycle management, creating collateral and advertising, conducting market analysis and staying attuned to the voice of our customer.
This is an on-site position in Valencia, CA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess customer needs to ensure appropriate product mix
- Work with sales to develop and present training materials as needed
- Product lifecycle management including updating product descriptions, pricing, pictures, review sales trends for discontinuations and addons to optimize mix for sales and profitability
- Create and launch promotional activities (advertising, tradeshows, etc.) to drive awareness, adoption, and utilization.
- Develop and maintain product information on Shield HealthCare site and community page
- Conduct competitive and gross profit and market analysis to track industry trends and ensure optimal product mix and pricing
- Create and launch category specific programs to drive sales, new accounts, market penetration, acceptable reimbursement and increased customer retention
- Assist with new product adds, including item add requests, internal and external communication of said adds, product boards, rep samples, etc.
- Development and dissemination of product related communication
- Product features/ benefit assessment.
- Develop product collateral for external use by customers and referral partners
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years' experience in a marketing or purchasing position
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with disposable medical supplies and/or Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement preferred
- Experience with gross profit analyses and product line assessment preferred
- Experience researching product features/benefits, recommending product substitutions, and developing and disseminating product related communicated preferred
