Medical Receptionist
Westside Podiatry, a busy 1 provider office, is looking for an experienced
medical receptionist to join our team.

We need someone who enjoys working as a team, proactive, attentive, and eager to do a great job caring for patients.

How you will make an impact:

• Greeting patients and checking them in, ensuring that you're providing them with an exceptional waiting room experience.
• Obtaining demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor. Entering information in computer system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Scheduling patient appointments and entering required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
• Explaining all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtaining the necessary signatures.
• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits and ensuring all notifications and authorizations are completed within the required timeframes.
• Posting payments in the computer system and generating the appropriate patient receipts.
• Communicating in an effective and professional manner with Physicians, insurance companies, other staff, as well as patients and their families. Completing thorough and accurate documentation after interactions.
• Processing medical records and other patient requests as necessary

We prefer you to have:

• Proficient English verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required
• Strong customer service skills and a positive mindset
• 2+ years of front office/back office experience in a medical setting (podiatry a plus)
• Knowledge of Athena Health EMR
• Insurance verification via online payer sites and phone
• Insurance experience to include Medicare/Medicaid, Commercial plans, Marketplace plans, Military plans, Worker's Comp, etc.

**This role may require occcasional travel to our Methodist Willowbrook location


Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay:
$ $15.00 per hour
