Mambo has 12 restaurants in the Greater Houston area, one location in San Antonio, and one franchised operation in the Rio Grande Valley.

The Server must be professional with high-energy and excellent communication skills. The Server serves food and drinks and introduces the daily specials and limited-time offers. The Server ensures that customers leave "Panza Llena, Corazon Contento".
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
- Adheres to the Company's alcohol service policy, safety procedures and food and beverage policies.
- Answers customer questions and makes recommendations for all menu items.
- Takes customer food and drink orders accurately and promptly.
- Enters food and beverage orders into the point of sale (POS) system.
- Properly processes customers' payments and provides accurate change.
- Ensures the balance of the bank at the end of the shift.
- Handles customer complaints or problems in a positive, courteous manner.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
- Completes all opening and closing duties and other server duties thoroughly and efficiently.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Ability to speak, write and understand simple instructions in English.
- Spanishspeaking is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a Food Handler Certificate and be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified.
- Must be a team player and customer service oriented.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Familiarity with POS system preferred; basic computer skills is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours.
- Speaks and listens inperson to staff and customers for at least 8 consecutive hours.
- Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours.
- Clearly observes customers in the dining room from up to 100 feet.
- Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
- Routinely carries full service tray and performs moderately strenuous activity for 8 consecutive hours.
Working Environment:
- Moderate noise, fast pace, high customer traffic, and regularly tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
