Currently seeking applicants for a
Doctor's Assistant for our ECC/ICU Department:

Compensation:
$ 22 - $ 34 / hr

Compensation for this position is dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities.


Doctor's assistants have the opportunity to be a part of providing critical care services and excellent customer service while working alongside our veterinarians within a great learning environment.

We are seeking highly organized individuals with strong multi-tasking and customer service skills. This position involves heavy communication with doctors, technicians, front office, our client liaison, and the clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Experience with computers and multi-line phone system is required.

Current experience (within the last 2 years) in veterinary medicine, either as a DA or veterinary technician, is highly recommended.

Experience in specialty medicine is a huge plus


Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Obtain initial patient histories from the client
  • Transcribe physical exam findings, lab results, imaging reports, etc. into patient medical records
  • Create financial estimates
  • Client communication and education
  • Performing client/patient followup phone calls
  • Create and process prescription refills
  • Maintain medical records
  • Review discharge instructions with clients
  • Complete lab submission forms
