Doctor's Assistant for our ECC/ICU Department:
Compensation:
$ 22 - $ 34 / hr
Compensation for this position is dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities.
Doctor's assistants have the opportunity to be a part of providing critical care services and excellent customer service while working alongside our veterinarians within a great learning environment.
Current experience (within the last 2 years) in veterinary medicine, either as a DA or veterinary technician, is highly recommended.
Experience in specialty medicine is a huge plusDaily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Obtain initial patient histories from the client
- Transcribe physical exam findings, lab results, imaging reports, etc. into patient medical records
- Create financial estimates
- Client communication and education
- Performing client/patient followup phone calls
- Create and process prescription refills
- Maintain medical records
- Review discharge instructions with clients
- Complete lab submission forms
