We are:
Our outdoor living group, Birkenhaus, is a co-ed, family-like residential group that is supervised according to the caregiver system. Here, children between the ages of 0 and 18 live and require a longer-term, consistent and non-therapeutic environment.

The Pauline von Mallinckrodt GmbH consists of two closely connected facilities.

The Pauline Children's Home offers a total of 134 places in 18 different residential and semi-residential groups for children and adolescents.

In addition, our Ambulatory Service supports a total of 40 families in the surrounding area.

The Pauline Daycare Center consists of three groups with 64 places. Our daycare center is also a certified family center in North Rhine-Westphalia.


With a lively and diverse team of over 200 employees, we work to ensure that the basic values of our namesake remain relevant to us today, even though it is often emotional rather than material needs that bring many children and adolescents to us.

The group leader can expect a motivated and multi-professional team that strives to create the best possible development conditions for the entrusted children.

Key elements of the daily pedagogical work in the group include:

  • Psychological diagnostics
  • Building social skills
  • Small group work on topics such as education, aggression, body language, and addiction
  • Developing an individual academic and, if necessary, vocational perspective
  • Parent work
  • Participation
This is a shift work position.
