The training to become an environmental technologist (m/f/d) in wastewater management, formerly known as a specialist for wastewater technology, includes a qualified vocational training in technical environmental protection.

In addition to manual skills, you will acquire knowledge about the processes used for wastewater collection and treatment, as well as relevant legal regulations.

Conducting chemical and microbiological laboratory tests is also part of the required skills. Therefore, this training program requires a high level of technical and scientific skills and knowledge.


TRAINING AND JOB CONTENTS

CORE QUALIFICATION MONTH:

  • Environmental protection, environmental technology, ecological cycles and hygiene, business processes
  • Work organization
  • Basics of machinery and process engineering, as well as measurement, control and regulation technology
  • Application of scientific fundamentals
  • Tools, auxiliary and hazardous substances; material processing

SPECIALIZED QUALIFICATION MONTH:

  • Operation and maintenance of drainage systems and wastewater treatment plants
  • Sludge treatment and utilization of waste from wastewater plants
  • Sampling and analysis of wastewater and sludge
  • Documentation, quality and environmental management
  • Electrical systems in wastewater technology
