Warehouse & Logistics Lead

Duties:


  • Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving and storing of products for the Agoura Hills and Ontario locations.
  • Working closely with the Service Group, order parts and manage inventory levels of service parts to ensure parts are in stock.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and the Scheduling Manager to ensure elevator products are staged for delivery the night prior to a jobsite installation.
  • Oversee and monitor warehouse productivity by ensuring jobsite schedules and service calls are met.
  • Working closely with the Service and Project teams, coordinate the scheduling of service parts and elevators to meet the demands of the project installs and service commitments.
  • Organize the warehouse and parts storage areas so access to elevators and service parts are easily accessible to minimize time spent loading and picking parts.
  • Ensure all service technicians have the right mix of service parts in their trucks and if not, replenish as necessary. Stock Agoura Hills and Ontario as necessary by evaluating demand by SKU.
  • Load the trailers the morning of an elevator installation. The actual delivery of the product to the jobsite is done by a third party. Manage the relationship of this 3rd party service and track performance.
  • Develop SOPs that minimize the amount of work done in the warehouse by service technicians, project installers and office personnel. The objective is to keep service techs and installers on revenue generating jobs and office personnel in revenue supporting roles.
  • Make trash dump runs on an as needed basis.
  • Look for opportunities to automate processes through IT and move away from manual entries. For example, inventory management.

Qualifications:


  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inbound receiving and scheduling outbound deliveries
  • 3 to 5 years' experience leading operations in a warehouse environment preferably in building materials
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Experience in building a bestinclass warehouse operation from scratch is a plus
  • Experience in managing inventory and replenishment
  • Must have Microsoft Office Experience
  • Forklift certification is mandatory (before or after hire)
  • A selfstarter who can rely on their skills in prioritizing and organizing their workflow to coordinate multiple departments
  • Dependable with the willingness to take the initiative to work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency
  • Is proactive and an independent problem solver
  • Must be 21 or older, with a valid CA Driver's license.
