- Overseeing the organizations daily accounting functions accounting functions
- Managing the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
- Working with executive team to guide the organizations financial decisions
- Communicating regularly with (and often reporting to) the CFO
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Hiring, training and retaining accounting staff

SUMMARY:

Were seeking an experienced controller to oversee this high-performing team. The ideal candidate must possess solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of GAAP, SEC regulations and professional certification such as the CPA, CGMA or CMA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:
Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
Exemplary history of financial project management
Knowledge of all aspects of GAAP
Experience in public accounting is highly valued.
Experience with Finance and Accounting preferred
Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)
