Seeking an experienced Elevator Inspector to be a part of a Construction Management team supporting multiple Federal Government elevator modernization projects.
Required qualifications:
- A state licensed and certified person that is trained in elevator installation and elevator code standards for the design, construction, installation, operation, inspection, testing, maintenance, alteration, and repair of elevators, escalators and related conveyances.
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in the elevator trade.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the ASME/A17.1 "Handbook on Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators".
Preferred qualifications:
- Elevator modernization project experience in GSA owned and leased facilities.
- Elevator modernization project experience in Federal facilities.
- Licensed as Elevator Inspector in DC, VA, and/or MD.
In this position, you will act as the Government owner's technical representative to advise on design and construction activities related to elevator design and construction under the direction of a BCS Construction Manager.
This position does not involve directly managing the construction - only managing the Government's responsibilities for contributing design requirements, reviewing submittals, reviewing change order requests, and coordinating Government vendor activities related to elevator work.
