Summary/Objectives


The Manager of Supply Chain will play a key role in fulfilling the Company's promises to our customers and in meeting our customers' expectations by getting the right products quickly and efficiently.

This role is responsible for managing the relationship and performance of the Company's third-party logistics partner ("3PL") to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of supply chain operations.

This role will be integral in working collaboratively with operations, vendor strategy, purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain management to execute on key metrics.


Supervisory Duties:


  • Participates in the hiring and training of departmental employees.
  • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental employees.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Manages the relationships with current and future 3PL partners, including establishing operational performance standards and negotiating service agreements.
  • Monitors and manages key operational metrics, including but not limited to fulfillment cost per order, damages & chargeback violations.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and recommends cost reduction and serviceenhancing opportunities through network optimization and continuous improvement efforts, both directly and indirectly through carrier and 3PL performance management; implement solutions balancing factors such as operational capabilities, customer and/or vendor requirements, pricing, volume, and product characteristics.
  • Resolves problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, or customer issues.
  • Partners with operations, vendor strategy, purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain to define responsibility matrix, and then implement and execute on processes and procedures for evolving function.
  • Collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to exceed performance standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Computer literate: proficient in Microsoft Office suite, web conferencing systems, ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and transportation management systems.
  • Possesses good organizational, supervisory, administrative, and oral and written communications skills.
  • Proven strong skills in negotiation, judgment and decisionmaking, problemsolving, and project management.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 810 years of fulfillment and/or warehouse management experience with a minimum of 5 years in management.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
