Responsibilities:


Assist Classroom Teacher:

Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement modifications and accommodations to instructional activities tailored to meet the individual needs of students with special needs.

Student Support:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with academic tasks, behavioral challenges, and personal care needs.

Behavior Management:

Support the implementation of behavior management strategies outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.

Supervision:
Monitor students during classroom activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure their safety and well-being.

Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with the classroom teacher, school staff, and parents/guardians regarding students' progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements.

Classroom Environment:
Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning, independence, and positive social interactions among students.

Materials Preparation:

Assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology tools to support students' learning goals.

Pay:
$17.84 per hour
