We are looking to hire an
HR Generalist/Payroll in the city of
Commerce,
CA. This is a
_contract to hire opportunity _to join our HR Team


Pay:
$
32-34/hour


Schedule:
Fully Onsite (Monday

  • Friday; 7am
  • 4:00pm)

Better together This position is on-site, and we are looking for people who share our passion of teamwork and having fun in a fast-paced union and non-union environment The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of our team, payroll, benefit questions, general questions and employee events.


The Human Resources Generalist will engage with stakeholders to facilitate daily human resources transactions, including tracking employee records, supporting the recruitment/interview process for hourly positions, managing the new hire onboarding process, In this role, you will help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the Aerospace industry.

Job Description HR Generalist Position Overview

  • Collaborates with other departments and supports all aspects of the payroll process
  • Review and correct submitted weekly time and attendance records
  • Perform data input for garnishments
  • Process weekly and byweekly payrolls in ADP
  • Process weekly and byweekly wage deductions, arrears, etc.
  • Upload weekly and byweekly payroll journals
  • Monitor and track attendance point system
  • Create and send various management reports
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Conduct new hire orientation in collaboration with EHS and Quality
  • Completes Forms I9, verifies I9 documentation and maintains I9 files
  • Assists with processing of termination documentation.
  • Assists in scheduling interviews as requested by the HR Director and department managers
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
  • Prepares newemployee files
  • Assist with the planning of Employee Engagement Activities
  • Administration of the Workers' Compensation program
  • Support the weekly open hire job fair and offsite job fairs

Qualifications & Skills:


REQUIRED

  • Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through Bachelor's Degree, or work experience commensurate with a degree program Specialized training in Human Resources/Payroll
  • Work experience 3 5 years in Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge of ADP payroll system (or comparable external payroll process) and Report Writer
  • Payroll processing in a union environment Prior experience handling confidential information
  • 1 Saturday per month to support the business unit
  • Previous union experience is a preferred but not required
  • Bilingual Spanish required

  • Possess strong work ethic and willingness to put in the time necessary to maintain an effective schedule that matches the needs of the company
  • Must have computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
