Caregiver for Assisted Living Facility - Houston, United States - Autumn Years LLC

Description

Primary function is to provide healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations and problems with the supervisor.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Take and record vital signs accurately
• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Assist in the mobility of patients and transfer techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection
• Perform phlebotomy procedures when required
• Utilize electronic health record systems like Cerner to input patient data
• Administering Medications
• Light housekeeping

• Proven experience in healthcare settings such as ICU, senior care, hospice care, home care, nursing homes, or similar environments
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Familiarity with hospice care practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a CNA program
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
