Position Summary


The Education Director (ED), reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations, plays a pivotal role in advancing E4 Youth's mission of empowering young minds through innovative educational programs.

In addition to overseeing our existing programs, the ED also serves as the director of the Creative Leadership Academy, where they are responsible for designing, managing, and enhancing the experience for academy members.

This entails ensuring that our employability curriculum remains relevant and equips our staff with the necessary skills for the creative workforce.


The ED's role extends beyond program management to include networking and relationship-building activities, attending events to engage with potential partners, schools, and educators.

By fostering strategic relationships and maintaining a pulse on industry trends, the ED contributes to the growth and sustainability of E4 Youth's educational initiatives.


Responsibilities:


Leadership & Management:


  • Direct and shape the curricula, teaching processes, policies, quality, quality enhancement and management for E4 Youth's CLA and Get Creative Enrichment Programs.
  • Oversee recruitment, training and support of Program Coordinator(s) and Creative Mentor staff that lead enrichment activities.
  • Plan and execute workshops that provide ongoing training and support to Creative Mentors, CLA members and teachers within E4 Youth's partner schools.
  • Oversee management of equipment and course materials to help ensure efficient working of staff.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with partners for various educational programs and manage resources to ensure achievement of education objectives.
  • Prepare an education schedule and ensure satisfaction in all educational programs progress and ensure satisfaction for all issues.

Adult Learning & Development

  • Lead a team of mentors, digital docents and apprentices to meet organizational outcomes
  • Provide regular coaching, performance reviews and professional development opportunities to grow individual staff members' and schoolbased facilitators' skills, ensuring program excellence
  • Foster a culture of belonging, trust, effective communication, perseverance, collaboration and overall excellence across partner sites

School & Community Partnerships

  • Develop and manage partnerships with teachers, school administrators and community partners to ensure effective implementation of Get Creative Clubs
  • Support the identification and selection of Get Creative Club teachers in collaboration with partners
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team and Associate Director to develop and manage partnerships with corporations, community partners and universities to streamline volunteer pipelines and other community engagement opportunities for Get Creative Clubs and the Creative Leadership Academy

Program Implementation, Evaluation & Development

  • Utilize data to identify promising practices, celebrate successes, surface areas of improvement and recommend strategies to promote organizational growth
  • Lead the refinement of program elements and evaluation methods to improve organizational outcomes
  • Foster a culture of inquiry through regularly gathering and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to guide strategy and decisions;
  • Supervise, design and enhance data collection processes to ensure accurate reporting and reflection on region's overall progress, performance and trends

Growth and Operations

  • In partnership with the Senior Leadership team, explore avenues to grow the Get Creative Clubs and the Creative Leadership Academy with additional sections, schools, community partners, districts, and corporate partners.
