    Job Responsibilities

    THIS IS A TEMPORARY GRANT POSITION WITH THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH LOCATED AT THE GREER CLINIC OF GREATER GREENVILLE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER.

    With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

    As the Program Coordinator I for the Youth Access to Psychiatry Program (YAP-P), you will answer the phone line to schedule consultations between community based primary care providers and DMH child and adolescent psychiatrists. The position also provides administrative and program support to the project staff by coordinating procurement, assisting with scheduling meetings and taking minutes and supporting marketing and outreach efforts.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Answers the Youth Access to Psychiatry consultation line and coordinates the scheduling of consultations between providers and DMH child and adolescent psychiatrists.
    • Updates and distributes the monthly consult schedule in their providers offices.
    • Coordinates procurement, including ordering supplies, processing travel, and invoices for the grant.
    • Supports marketing by coordinating the e-newsletter distribution, changes to the website and orders and distributes materials and resources for providers.
    • Attends conferences as requested to promote the program.
    • Assists with scheduling meetings and maintains/updates lists of providers, practices, and professional organization members for meetings and related communications.
    • Investigates and researches workflow and technological issues as needed.
    • Participates in meetings to give updates on the consultation line's progress and makes suggestions for continuous quality improvement of the consult line.
    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    A high school diploma and two (2) years' relevant program experience.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Associate's degree or higher.

    Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
