The Role and What You'll Do:

The Brand Ambassador, Irish Whiskey, Pioneer Division will play an essential role in the growth of our treasured Irish Whiskeys from Midleton and continuing our legacy as an industry leader.

They will serve as the product and category expert for our Irish portfolio leading educational efforts, building partnerships with industry influencers and emerging talent, and leveraging existing relationships to drive awareness, loyalty, and conversion primarily among gatekeepers in the on-premise.

Working with brand, field, and cross-functional teams, and in collaboration with their key markets, they will play a critical role in the progression of our brands, providing key inputs as to how to deliver ambitions within a designated geography.


  • Brands: Jameson (60%), Redbreast (30%), The Spots (5%), Midleton (5%)
  • Audience: Gatekeepers of the trade on/offpremise, distributor, PRUSA field teams
  • Channels: Onpremise independent accounts, onpremise national accounts, offpremise chains, trade groups, and trade events
  • Division: Pioneer
  • Key Markets: Boston

Field Program Execution:


  • Execute KPIs centered around driving awareness, loyalty, & conversion within the key trade gatekeeper audience. KPIs include onpremise trade education, highprofile industry events, key trade group relations and support, & distributor engagement
  • Responsible for leading and executing omnichannel programming based off brand and divisional priorities, and as directed by Senior Managers


  • Sales Team Education

  • Prepare and present dynamic trainings for the Pernod Academy and distributor education to drive brand initiatives and differentiation
  • Maintain commercial knowledge while this role will not be KPI'd on NNS growth, this person should take the initiative to understand NNS growth/opportunity within their division
  • Consult and educate on cocktail strategy to support brand message, emphasize quality, and drive velocity

Trade Advocacy, Education & Events:


  • Be a leader within the local trade community: develop strong relationship & cadence when activating with relevant local trade groups and thought leaders (ie: USBG)
  • Proactively plan and host innovative programming for the trade designed to educate, sample, and build affinity and loyalty for designated brands in market
  • Act as the consummate host and/or educator at key trade events within division

Admin Responsibilities:


  • KPI tracking through LilyPad
  • Expenses submitting expenses on time, planning & managing budget set forth by management team


  • Recapping

  • BA will recap their programs & competitive intel on a monthly basis

Other:


  • Regular meetings with the Pernod Ricard HQ team to share competitive insights and trends to inform programming
  • Assist with drink strategy when needed
  • Have a strong social media presence and lead thinking around digital amplification, content development and execution for programming and during key periods.

Key Points of Contact (internal & external):

  • Trade Advocacy HQ, Field Marketing, Local Sales Teams, Brand Teams, Channel Shopper, Distributor Partners, USBG / Trade Groups in focus markets

You Have These:


  • Requires a minimum of 4 years general work experience; minimum 2 years US Spirits experience. Previous Brand Ambassador experience a plus.
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred
  • Solid understanding of trends, traditions, passion points and preferences particularly amongst Hispanic consumers
  • Strong spirits knowledge must have experience with spirits & a strong understanding of the spirits categories & production process
  • Hospitality Background strong sense for being a memorable & thoughtful host when interacting with the trade.
  • Ability to travel up to 6070%

Pay:
$80, $90,000.00 per year
