Position Summary:


Position Responsibilities:

The Program Management Specialist II's primary responsibility is to support programs at Airbus U.S.

The Specialist will work with Program Managers to lead the development of new Program Management processes in a hybrid Program and Product environment.

The Program Management Specialist II will accomplish a variety of daily tasks, including driving action completion, facilitating management processes (eg., Schedule, EV, ERM, EAC and customer status), and completing and processing documentation.


The Program Management Specialist II will plan and execute moderate and complex assignments, under the leadership of the Director of Programs.


PMO Process and Tools 75%

  • Development of new PMO processes, templates and tools to improve company efficiency and program/product execution
  • Facilitate PMO execution through action tracking and task management
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and manage management tools for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinate across the Airbus US organization for tool selection, implementation, and usage

Additional Responsibilities 25%

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.

Experience:


  • A minimum of 3 years with a Bachelor's degree, 1 years with a Master's degree; or 7 years work experience in an engineering management environment
  • Preferred: Proven trackrecord working in engineering management fields that included product design, development, testing, and delivery
  • Experience in highly regulated fields, including ISO9001, AS9100, or similar Quality Management Systems

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:


  • Proficiency with project management and data management tools, including Sharepoint, Jira, Windchill, SAP, or similar
  • Experience with aerospace industry, terminology, and project lifecycles
  • Experience with configuration management principles as applied to engineering drawings, plans, and analysis reports
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner effectively across multiple levels.
  • Be teamminded and ready to work in a multifunctional and multicultural, fastmoving and complex/technical environment.
  • Flexible attitude and strong initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results.

Travel Required:


  • Periodic travel (less than 20%) to Airbus U.S. facilities or partner companies
  • Occasional International travel to collaborate with European Airbus counterparts

Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance
Active DoD security clearance at Secret or above is highly desirable


Physical Requirements:


  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 40lbs/9kg.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 40lbs/9kg.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and outside areas including uneven surfaces.
