Responsibilities:


  • Lead, manage and inspire branch sales and operations employees in assigned territory to provide customers with superior products and services.
  • Develop business strategies that enable attainment of assigned goals for sales, profit, capital, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Create a thriving and selfsustaining culture at the branch level for Safe Business Practices, Employee Involvement and Continuous Improvement.
  • Recruit, train, develop, recognize, and reward performance. Evaluate and act on under performing team members.
  • Develop personal relationships with key customers in territory and take primary responsibility for closing large orders.
  • Utilize management tools (dashboards, financials, CRM, pipelines) to run branch operations and comply with corporate governance.
  • Where applicable, identify new and underdeveloped markets and participate in Company expansion into those markets.
  • Work collaboratively with all Spider Area and Business Development Directors to ensure goals and obligations are achieved. Help direct crossregional teams to meet sales goals and other deliverables.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Operations management or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience in corporate financial and operational functions; budgeting, forecasting, P&L, strategic planning.
  • Use of Quality tools including Kaizen, 8D analysis, process mapping, Lean leadership, Toyota Performance, ISO compliant processes or equivalent training a strong plus.
  • 10 years experience in sales and/or operations management with 8 years supervisory experience. Proven ability to build a sales pipeline.
  • Has a strong strategic mind and demonstrated ability to create and implement business strategies
  • Proven skills in managing multisite teams and geographically dispersed personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals, developing and improving team and individual performance.
  • Ability to make effective informal sales presentations to small customers and formal presentations to Fortune 250 companies.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the region, as required by needs of the business.
