Building Equity Management, a leading Manhattan-based management company, is searching for a qualified individual to take over super and porter duties.

Key Responsibilities:


Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in common areas and individual units as needed. Troubleshoot and address minor electrical and plumbing issues.
Coordinate with external contractors for more extensive repairs and projects.


Janitorial Duties:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of common areas. Regularly clean and maintain the building's interior and exterior spaces. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as necessary. Manage garbage removal, complying with NYC Dept. of Sanitation pick up schedules and recycling rules.


Resident Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with owners and tenants. Address resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist new residents with move-in procedures and orientation to the building. Communicate issues to management.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Ability to repair sheetrock, including taping, spakling, and painting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks.
• Flexibility to work oncall or respond to emergencies as needed.
• Knowledge of New York City building codes and regulations is advantageous.

Pay:
$60, $75,000.00 per year


Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On call
