The Role
As
Facilities Manager to handle all maintenance issues in the facility.


This position will manage a team of people overseeing repairs for all equipment and manage preventative maintenance as well as negotiate contracts with 3rd party service providers.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for addressing operations maintenance concerns within NY facility inclusive of refrigeration, conveyors, meal packaging equipment, racking, dock doors, general building maintenance
  • Assess repair needs for our equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians
  • Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utility consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Manage CAPEX for construction/renovation projects.
  • Search, locate and order parts for repairs and maintain relationships with part suppliers
  • Train new maintenance technicians in equipment repairs if needed
  • Maintain and enforce standards for overall building condition and cleanliness
  • Abide and enforce safe working conditions for the facility and the team.
  • Working in conjunction with the health and safety department

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
  • Wellversed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Basic knowledge of Electricity and Plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration
  • Experience and knowledge with a sealing machine (MAP) are a big plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
  • Bilingual in Spanish language is a plus
