Quaker Oats, part of PepsiCo, is looking for a Pouching Operator to work in our fast-paced 24-hour operating manufacturing environment.

As a full-time team member, you would work 40 hours per week and overtime may be required to meet business needs.
- Setting up and operating assigned pouching machines and statistical weigher, in order to pack the optimum number of quality packages of product
- Setting up and operating equipment which are integral parts of the production cycle
- Operating soup/pouching machines and PIT s in accordance with established safety, quality, and operation procedures and guidelines
- Must ensure that each box is properly coded, dated and sealed with minimum amount of waste product and supplies
- Follows correct batch reporting process
- Responsible for ingredient handling and pulling
- Knowledgeable in WMS
- Inspects, handles, cleans, and set up soup totes
- Knowledge and demonstration of Kosher handling, measuring, sealing, and storing requirements
- Able to set up and position equipment appropriately
- Preparing machinery and supplies for product changeovers
- Performing sanitation duties on machinery to ensure safety and health compliance; keeps assigned machines and area clean and safe
- Conducts and completes quality, inventory, production tests, scans, records and reports timely and accurately
- Uses computer to enter in data, complete reports, and enter in work orders
- Troubleshooting maintenance problems and performing adjustments and minor repairs
- Participates in TPM sessions and activities
- May perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Training:
- Must be able to work unassisted after completing the departments Training Rotation plan (23 months)
- Will need to train others in the department and new operators
- Must be open to being cross trained in other parts of the department
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, is preferred
- Immediate computer skills (Excel, Word, WMS, MARS)
- Decision making and problemsolving skills
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance
- Understands basic directions, requires mínimal follow up
- Detail oriented and open communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and have strong team skills when required
- Diagnostic ability on touch screens and understands SPC
- Forklift Certification preferred
Working Environment:
- Working conditions are normal for manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. Work may involve frequent lifting of material and product up to 50 pounds
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but, not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection, steeltoed shoes/boots, and safety gloves
- Work will involve excessive climbing of stairs/ladders, bending, pushing/pulling, crawling on hands and knees, working in tight/confined spaces, and heights that could exceed 100 feet
- All employees must comply with companies Current Good Manufacturing Practices and wear company issued uniforms
