The Museum Webflow Manager and Developer is a pivotal role within our museum, tasked with leveraging the Webflow platform to design, develop, and maintain a dynamic online presence that encapsulates the museum's mission, collections, and educational initiatives.

This role demands a blend of technical prowess, creative vision, and strategic thinking to ensure our digital offerings provide immersive, informative, and accessible experiences for all visitors.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Utilize Webflow's nocode platform to build and customize the museum's website, ensuring the design aligns with the museum's brand identity and meets the diverse needs of the audience.
  • Custom Code Development
:

Employ HTML, CSS, and JavaScript expertise to develop custom code solutions for unique design or functionality requirements, enhancing the museum's website with personalized touches.


  • CMS Integration and Management
:

Manage the website's content through Webflow's CMS, customizing it to streamline maintenance and support seamless content updates. Integrate the CMS with other data sources and manage the content lifecycle from creation to deletion.

  • API and Third-Party Service Integration
:

Implement integration with various APIs and third-party services to extend the functionality of the museum's website, including payment gateways, analytics platforms, and more, ensuring a robust and feature-rich online experience.


  • Optimizing Website Performance
:

Regularly audit and optimize the website's performance to ensure fast loading times, mínimal downtime, and a high level of search engine friendliness, employing techniques like image optimization and script loading strategies.


  • Ongoing Maintenance and Support
:

Provide continuous maintenance and support for the museum's Webflow website, addressing any issues promptly to ensure an uninterrupted and secure online experience for visitors.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
:

Work closely with different museum departments to ensure the digital representation of exhibitions, events, and educational content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with the museum's strategic goals.


  • Acts as an ambassador and actively shares information within area communities to raise awareness of the museum and to drive visitation.
  • Represents Stepping Stones as a highly respected educational resource and effectively shares the vision, mission and strategies in a variety of outreach settings, including venues or expos for children and families.

Requirements:


Required Education and/or Certification:


  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Minimum Experience/Skills/Certificates:


  • Minimum of 2 years as a web developer.
  • Proven expertise in Webflow, including design and development, CMS management, and API integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom code development.
  • Experience with digital content production, including video content, to enhance educational messaging and brand authenticity.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead production schedules, organize timelines, and conduct weekly design and production meetings.
  • Creative problemsolving abilities and a keen eye for design to ensure high levels of visitor engagement and customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Sensitivity to diversity, including individuals with physical challenges or special needs.
