STARTING WAGE:
$18.99 per hour

This position is full time, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, year round. Full benefits, including paid time off and vacation, are included.

Purpose of position

The purpose of this position is to provide logístical support to building and program activities by making pick-ups and/or deliveries of mail, bank deposits, products, equipment and furnishings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Picks up and delivers interschool and post office mail, packages, hot lunch food and carts, laundry, bank deposits, etc. according to regular schedule.
Moves of classroom materials, furniture items, and gym equipment, from shipping and receiving and/or between buildings.
Delivers and pickups tables, chairs, and staging equipment between buildings, district office, and community sites.
Delivers and moves custodial equipment/supplies, chemicals, and paper products.
Sorts and delivers bulk food items to production kitchens.
Maintains assigned delivery truck by performing minor maintenance including checking fluids, bulbs, tires, and emergency equipment.
Occasional transport of vehicles for repairs and/or maintenance.
Assists with the loading and unloading of semis and other deliveries to the receiving dock.
Provides backup support for shipping and receiving coordinator when they are out of the district.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Facilities and Grounds.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

High School graduate with five to eleven months delivery truck driving experience and a clean driving record, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Minimum Physical and Mental Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirement

Ability to operate buildings and grounds maintenance equipment including hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
Ability to operate a delivery truck.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds, maneuver hand truck with a load of 300 pounds, and a pallet jack with a maximum load of 2,000 pounds. May be required to assist group moving up to 3,000 pounds on a pallet.
Must have current physical on file with the District Office certifying applicant is able to meet all job qualifications.

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.

Language Ability and Interpersonal Communication

Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including mileage and fuel records, maps and directions, vehicle manuals, bills of lading, packing slips, manufacture data sheets (MDS), etc.
Ability to prepare a variety of documents including mileage and fuel logs, bank bags records, time sheets, inventory logs, etc. Using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, post office and bank employees, the general public, and others verbally and in writing.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
Ability to prioritize multiple requests for service by multiple individuals and departments.

Environmental Adaptability
