Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Assistant / Caregiver.

As a Patient Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to patients in a residential home setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for patient care and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming incontinent residents.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, check blood sugar levels.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility with DME medical equipment wheelchair and walker
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms & common areas including mopping & sweeping
  • Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent infection ising disinfection products
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members
  • Document patient information accurately and timely using medical office software or progress notes.
  • Provide assistance with laundry & dishes in residential.

Skills:


  • Experience working in a hospital or medical setting
  • Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
  • Proficient in caregiving techniques, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique to ensure patient safety
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols
  • Understanding of critical care practices and emergency response procedures
  • Familiarity with medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals
  • Experience using medical office software, such as Cerner, for documentation purposes
  • Ability to assist with DME setup and maintenance

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract


Pay:
$110.00 per day
