    Immediate Assistant Controller Opportunity in Denver Cherry Creek:

    A rapidly growing, fast-paced hospitality and property management company is looking to add a sharp Assistant Controller to their team

    Responsibilities and Duties of Assistant Controller:

    • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
    • Prepare appropriate journal ledger entries, reclassifications, and account reconciliations.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
    • Ensure adherence to all corporate accounting, month-end close, and investor reporting deadlines.
    • Reconcile extensive intercompany transactions.
    • Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules.
    • Ensure accurate and timely monthly closes.
    • Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP.
    • Support other teams with special projects as needed.

    Requirements of Assistant Controller:

    • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
    • Three to five years of prior experience in general ledger and financial reporting.
    • Private equity, REIT, or hospitality industry experience is a plus.

    Technical Skills and Experience:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
    • Strong usage of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
