Description
General

As a civil engineering specialist (m/f/d), you can expect a lot of variety. You will be deployed wherever tracks and switches need to be repaired, maintained or newly built. Things get exciting for you when you keep the rail network in top shape for long-distance and regional trains, S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains, trams or industrial railways. To ensure that it remains functional and safe, you will lay tracks and switches, change sleepers or renew the track bed. Together with your colleagues (m/f/d), you will take on bedding cleaning and renewal, and in civil engineering, you will produce paving and asphalt surfaces, among other things, ensuring the operational readiness and safety of rail traffic.

After successfully completing your training, you will support our competence area of equipment/electrical engineering: You will independently carry out construction work and ancillary activities in cable civil engineering on construction sites on the rail network. You will also be responsible for laying cable trough systems, installing shaft systems in and around the track area, and working on cable pulls.

What you will learn in your training
  • Civil engineering: In the first two years, we will train you as a civil engineering specialist (m/f/d). You will learn how excavations, trenches and formwork are created, carry out earthworks, and produce paving surfaces, slab coverings and asphalt
