Eaton's Mobility business is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their Boosting and Valve Actuation (Engine Air Management) business units in North America.

This position can be based in Southfield or Galesburg, MI, or can be a fully remote role.


Position Overview:


Reporting to the Director Supply Chain Light Vehicle business, this person will focus on supporting supply chain program management activities around new product introductions (from pursuit to launch); product quoting and all gate reviews.

This individual will be responsible to deliver on business metrics improvements such as SIOP forecast accuracy, customer on-time delivery, inventory dollars, DOH, E&O and premium freight.

This person will also deploy continuous improvements throughout the processes and create/deliver reports and presentations to all levels of the organization including the senior leadership team.

Materials efforts include demand forecasting, material planning, inventory management and driving the SIOP process across the plants.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing a team consisting of a SIOP lead, Materials Planner, Ops Buyer, and Program Managers.

In addition, this individual will be the functional leader for their respective plants (three facilities).


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Single point of escalation for all incoming direct materials for North American Engine Air Management plants
  • Define continuity plans to avoid disruption in production caused by suppliers
  • Act as the primary conduit between the EAM business units and the SCM organization, ensuring strategic alignment
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to be successful, including active coordination with the Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Distribution and Finance teams
  • Accountable for all SCM and materials inputs for NPI opportunities from Pursuit to launch. Responsible for flawless launch of supplier production to support NPI, cost out, and continuity projects.
  • Lead the monthly SIOP process for responsible product lines and operations
  • Manage all aspects of demand forecasting, capacity and inventory management planning
  • Create and execute the inventory plan to achieve the dollars and DOH targets for plant, while leading inventory strategies to deliver optimal levels.
  • Drive premium freight and past due reductions
  • Facilitate all parts and supply plan for Aftermarket business & OEM business.
  • Build organization capability through developing effective teams, attracting top talent and building functional competencies across the organization
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews and disposition of excess and obsolete material
  • Communicate and plan supplier replenishments to achieve customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of operations management, supply chain and/or materials experience with a proven career path demonstrating significant accomplishments and increasing levels of responsibilities

Education:


  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required
  • An advanced degree is preferred
