Maintenance Director - Bakersfield, United States - Real Care Assisted Living

Real Care Assisted Living is a new senior living community in Bakersfield. We are looking for a Director of Maintenance to oversee the physical plant and grounds, overall appearance including and ongoing maintenance and repair needs. We are excited to bring exceptional services and quality environment and care to our residents. This role is a critical key to that success.


Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have required Health Screening, TB Test, and Criminal Record Clearance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain all areas of the community, including grounds.
• Sets maintenance department goals, processes, or procedures to accomplish objectives
• Ensures all health, safety, and regulations are followed
• Creates a preventive maintenance system as well as procedures to keep daytoday operations running smoothly
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping team, including management of training and professional development
• Repair all necessary items requested for repair on Maintenance Request Order.
• Maintain all equipment in a safe working condition.
• Service and maintain airconditioning / heating units including changing of all filters.
• Service emergency generator and test run for at least 15 minutes monthly. Replace gas and oil every six months.
• Coordinate services with preferred vendors, ie. pest, landscapers, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supplies (plumbing, electrical and misc.) as well as maintain current inventory of all facility furniture. Maintain furniture and repairs as needed.
• Get rooms ready for moveins including paint, cleaning of carpets, move furniture and any other work necessary to make room ready for movein.
• Walk facility weekly and inspect for safety issues and / or maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school education and/or trade school experience. Minimum one year experience in residential maintenance. Must have some knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry. Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and high attention to detail.


Pay:
$70, $80,000.00 per year
