Grancare Nursing Center is looking for a care partner to assist with activities and recreation in our Recreational Renegades (Activity) Department.
This care partner helps to plan, organize, supervise and facilitate all events and operations of the Activities Department.The Recreational Renegades are responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of an activities program designed to meet the social, psychosocial and therapeutic needs of our Neighbors (residents).
This includes the facilitation of recreational, educational, cultural, religious, volunteer, and arts and crafts programs geared to the multi-faceted health problems of our Neighbors, while keeping a focus on our Eden Alternative philosophy in all encounters.
Among other things, the Recreational Renegades assistant helps with the transportation of Neighbors to social events in the home, engages with all neighbors in social interaction, facilitates games and activities, helps to provide companionship and life enrichment through fun, laughter, and connections.
This care partner is part of a team of dedicated care partners working together to create Home for our Neighbors (Elders).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST demonstrate A POSITIVE, CARING, FUN AND CREATIVE ATTITUDE
- Must demonstrate the desire to work EFFECTIVELY with the NEIGHBORS
- Must be highly organized
- Must be a team player
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
