    Posting Summary
  • The Business Specialist within the Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement at Rutgers University-Camden reports directly to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Strategy, Diversity, and Community Engagement. Collaborating closely with the Budget & Finance Office, this role encompasses a wide array of business and administrative responsibilities. The incumbent will oversee and coordinate various business operations functions within the unit, providing essential support to the Senior Vice Chancellor and department personnel. This involves monitoring operating funds to support financial operations and strategic planning initiatives, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, university policies, and procedures.

Key duties include managing hourly payroll, advising on purchases and procedures, overseeing procurement processes, maintaining expenditure records, managing p-card requests, coordinating travel arrangements, and providing guidance on fund usage.

Additionally, the position involves Financial Planning/Management and Grants Accounting/Management, encompassing tasks such as financial reporting, budgeting, grant budget development, grant expense processing, and interfacing with internal and external constituents.

The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate efficient fund management within DICE.

In addition to collaborating with unit administrative staff, the Business Specialist will partner with various departments across Rutgers University-Camden, including Budget & Finance, Human Resources, Shared Services, Research & Sponsored Programs, and the Chancellor's Office, to ensure operational compliance and adherence to university policies and procedures.
