Job Description
Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
§ Prepares all weekly worship bulletins in coordination with the pastor and other worship leaders.
§ Maintains the Church Windows database in accordance to all church records.
§ Responsible for the accounting of church monetary offerings, working closely with the bookkeeper and financial secretary. Supervises purchases and the use of the congregation's credit cards and credit accounts.
§ Organizes and schedules volunteer worship leaders and sends them weekly reminders.
§ Prepares the agenda and collects all committee and office reports for regular Council Meetings.
§ Maintains website and update social media.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
§ High school graduate or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred. Minimum one-year previous office experience preferred.
§ Good communication skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and personalities while maintaining confidentiality required.
§ Previous PC experience, including software programs of MS Word, Excel, and Publisher, required. Includes operation of other large office machines.
§ Knowledge of proper English and business writing style.
Organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to work on own initiative.
Company DescriptionUnited Lutheran Church is a member in good standing of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). We hold one church service every Sunday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a coffee hour. During the seasons of Lent and Advent, we hold multiple Wednesday night services.
