If you answered yes to these questions, you might be who we are seeking for our Utility Maintenance Technician role at Lowney?s Landscaping Center
A Utility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overall turf health and neat appearance on customer?s properties throughout a typical growing season.
You will also have opportunities to work on weed eradication, shrub/tree pruning, annual/perennial installation and care, mulch top-dressing, pond care, one day makeovers, planting procedures and insect and disease prevention.
What you?ll be doing as a Utility Maintenance Technician:
- Small lawn renovations
- Small planting bed renovations
- Pond startups and winterizations
- Low Voltage lighting troubleshooting
- Spring/Fall clean ups
- Weeding on planting beds
- Perennial plant care including deadheading, seasonal cut backs, and plant division for size control
- Small tree and shrub care including renewal pruning, dead wooding, structural pruning, and shaping with hand and power tools
- Effectively use required tools/equipment for each task given
- Make great decisions based on weather conditions and season of the year
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
What you?ll bring to the table as a Utility Maintenance Technician:
- High school diploma
- Good work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Valid Wisconsin Driver?s License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Great attitude and selfstarter who takes tremendous pride in work they do
- Ability to walk long distances with equipment on any given day
- Willingness to learn proper turf practices and techniques as well as plant identification
- Ability to work in uncomfortable weather conditions
