Duties * Serve as the Assistant/Deputy Fire Chief. * First line supervisor for subordinate supervisors and second line supervisor for their subordinate firefighting personnel. * Discuss fire hazards and deficiencies with responsible installation officials. * Participate in committees, working groups, and task forces with installation personnel. * Act as Fire Chief during scheduled and unscheduled absences assuming full organizational control.Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* A Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position. * This is a drug testing designated position.* Incumbent will be required to work a 60-hour work week (120 hours per pay period) which includes at least one 24-hour shift and may include working weekends and holidays.
* This position requires the incumbent to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Garrison Commander.
