Tasks and Process

As a machining mechanic, you are responsible for processing our products and the necessary components. For production, you create programs for CNC-controlled machine tools, select the right tools and cutting materials, and then document and monitor the process. After completion of the components, you perform quality controls and coordinate with other departments and customers if necessary. During your apprenticeship, you will learn everything you need for your profession. With the production of workpieces, you will get to know interesting processes such as turning, milling, or grinding. You will work with new processes, such as 3D printing, and learn how to manufacture spare parts yourself. For this, you will go through different areas during your apprenticeship, from the training workshop to toolmaking and series production.

Requirements and Duration of Apprenticeship

You need a secondary school leaving certificate or a qualified secondary school leaving certificate for the apprenticeship. The regular apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years.<
