Introduction


A Technology Sales Specialist role (what we internally call a, 'Brand Sales Specialist') in IBM's Data & AI brand means accelerating enterprises' success by improving their ability to understand their data.

It means providing solutions that enable people across organizations, in multiple roles, the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT.

And it means selling multi-award winning software, and world-class design practices that enables business analysts to ask new questions. The answers to which are literally shaping the future and changing the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities


As a Brand Sales Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.


The role has unlimited potential and is highly focused on driving strategic signings with our clients to adopt and expand Watsonx, Watson Assistant, Watson Discovery, OpenPages, Planning Analytics, Cognos, Business Automation portfolio including Watson Orchestrate, Cloud Pak for Business Automation, rules, business workflow, data capture, filenet, and other AI and Bus Auto capabilities across their enterprise, and to deliver line of business focused solutions across the entire C-suite.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • You're an entrepreneur who likes to run a business and know that owning your own growth strategies and pipeline generation is fundamental to your success
  • Direct, face to face customer selling experience
  • Experience selling Data & AI and/or Business Automation solutions at a major software provider
  • Industry knowledge of IBM competitors in the market (Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, etc)
  • Strong technical understanding of Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Automation, RPA, Process Mining, Workflow
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Intimate knowledge of Data & AI and Business Automation marketplace and unique perspective on how to compete within it experience making markets
  • Prior experience selling Data & AI solutions around generative AI, business analytics, financial planning, GRC, AI, chat bots, business automation, rpa, process mining
  • Experience in leading large complex deals and valuebased selling with track record of overachieving quota.
