Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Director & Clinical Educator for NYULH Surgical Technology Program.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the instructors, educational activities of the program, and all classes both day and evening.
- Other responsibilities as determined by the Program Administrator.
- Coresponsible with the program administrator for the fiscal wellbeing of the program
- Assisting students toward successful program completion and staffing the classroom with instructors who support the mission of educating surgical technologists.
- Assist with ongoing review and development of curricula in the department and make suggestions per policy
- Monitor student progress, conduct student orientations and advise students throughout the program.
- Provide academic leadership and select, train, develop, manage, and lead faculty and staff team members according to the guidelines provided by CAAHEP and ARC/STSA.
- Adherence to applicable accreditation commission standards or agencies regulations, the school policies and procedures, and the departments curricula
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree, Valid Surgical Technologist Certification, Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA.
Minimum 5 years experience either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten years.
Possess proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning, experience/training as an educator.Required Licenses:
Cert Surgical Technologist
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
