    Ove­rview

    The Kid's Spo-Cha Manager is responsible for the sales, profits, staffing, image and operation of the Kid's Spo-Cha department. S/he will be responsible for the administration of business goals in revenues, expense, profitability, and customer satisfaction and employee morale for this department.

    Essential Duties:

    Sales

    • Sets and exceeds sales and profit projections of the Kid's Spo-Cha department through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures.
    • Performs refunds and cancellations for sales under appropriate rules and judgment.

    Department Operations

    • Consistently on the floor to provide personal sales and troubleshoot support.
    • Directly supervises department supervisors to ensure they are in compliance with established store policies, procedures, and sales goals.
    • Conducts alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies.
    • Maintains a safe & hazard-free environment. Reports customer injuries/accidents per company guidelines.
    • Uses problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies with both guests and employees. (Level of service, operations, staffing, etc.).
    • Reports all irregular issues and problems to General Manager and HQ support teams for solutions.
    • Assists in ensuring that the facility is always clean and organized.
    • Opening & closing duties – Tasks include but are not limited to, checking and securing all doors/entryways, arming/disarming security alarm, preparing the Kid's Spo-Cha Department for business operations.

    Auditing

    • Conducts cash, refund, and credit audits in accordance with "Loss Prevention" guidelines.
    • Creates Daily Audit Report with sales information and auditing discoveries for store management.
    • Audits and track special events and promotions.

    Safety, Loss Prevention, and Procedural Compliance

    • Performs and/or coordinates maintenance and repairs on equipment inside the Kid's Spo-Cha Zone in compliance with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances
    • Follows company guidelines for managing confidential information, customer satisfaction and supervising store personnel.
    • Enforces compliance with any and all local, state, federal regulations, including company policy pertaining to safety and loss prevention.
    • Maintains records and documents related to inspections and incidents for compliance purposes.
    • Complies with all OSHA requirements and assists in the maintenance and/or update of the store IIPP and OSHA records.

    Staff Management and Human Resources

    • Provides operational and customer service training for Kid's Spo-Cha employees at all levels.
    • Develops a diverse, high-performance team by coaching, counseling and mentoring.
    • Builds, shares, and executes effective workflows with staff.
    • Communicates important information to staff when needed.
    • Monitors the department's staffing on a daily basis to ensure the department is adequately staffed.
    • Holds weekly staff meetings with department supervisors to discuss and resolve any issues relating to operations, staffing, customer service, etc.
    • Writes and/or updates operations manual for departments to include day-to-day procedures.
    • Prepares and presents performance evaluations and counseling notices to direct reports.
    • Maintains confidential discussions of employees' increases, promotions, or transfers according to company guidelines.
    • Reviews department time sheets for accuracy of hours and overtime.
    • Assists with new hire orientation for store employees.

    Other

    • Proactively supports any promotional activities within the store.
    • Assists Marketing Department with ideas to help increase store traffic upon request.
    • Contributes to improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in store processes.
    • Assists in the research and development of resources that create timely and efficient store workflow.
    • Completes additional duties and responsibilities to be performed when directed by General Manager, HQ departments, and executive management.
    • Performs and supports in all tasks/responsibilities within the Kid's Spo-Cha department as needed; encompassing task at the associate level and beyond.
    • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
    • Maintains good communication with general management, customer service associates and outside contacts.
    • Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    The Kid's Spo-Cha Manager must possess a strong sense of customer service, interpersonal skills, and high integrity and respect for everyone. The Kid's Spo-Cha Manager must demonstrate strong situational awareness, solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation for diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.)

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Some college preferred but not required; a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in,
    • entertainment or hospitality industries.
    • Previous experience in retail/restaurant or customer service environment required; previous experience in management preferably in youth development, amusement, bowling/game center highly desirable.
    • Strong verbal communication skills supported by a pleasant and positive "Can Do" attitude.
    • Strong operational skills with focus on time management.
    • Ability to lead by example.

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment. Elevated levels of noise, dust and activity can and should be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. All employees are expected to perform their job duties in this environment with no issue.     Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms to perform their job duties. Lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs with assistance is required.
