Shipping and Receiving Manager - Buena Park, United States - Island Snacks

Description

• Manage warehouse functionality and oversee thirdparty fulfillment operations
• Maintain accurate physical inventory counts (98% accuracy) and actively investigate and resolve any discrepancies
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with key logistics partners to lower costs and increase efficiencies
• Develop and execute a logistics business plan; own the logistics budget
• Define and monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
• Analyze data with respect to supply chain issues, report on KPIs to management
• Identify and implement industry technology systems to improve operations
• Implement a disaster recovery plan and proactively identify supply chain risks

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management (or related field) is a big plus, though not required
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus in logistics and procurement, though not required
• Demonstrated 1+ experience in managing a small logistics team
• Expertise in warehouse procedures in efficiency, effectiveness and safety
• Understanding of global customs, import requirements, rules and regulations
• Ability to manage schedules, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Exceptional analytics and organizational skills and a flexible, problem solving attitude
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong Microsoft Skills
