SEH is currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer VI to join our growing practice in Muskegon, Michigan This position is open to individuals in Muskegon or surrounding areas.

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You'll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you'll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

This Opportunity:

Manage multiple projects for a variety of clients throughout western Michigan
Collaborate with variety of disciplines with SEH to solve challenges and provide solutions
Mentor junior level staff to help foster a positive team environment
Represent SEH with local governments, municipalities and other agencies at project and public meetings
Respond to RFQ's
Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects
Partner with business development staff to present proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan
Experience in proposal writing and client management; demonstrated ability to lead development of new business opportunities and win project proposals
Must reside in Muskegon, Michigan or surrounding areas

Preferred Qualifications:

Twelve (12)+ years of previous experience in the Civil Engineering field managing projects, leading development of new business opportunities, and winning project proposals
Experience supervising and managing staff
