Summary:

Perform product depacking safely and reliably while meeting daily production goals. Uphold LSPI's core beliefs and safety principles and culture. Other duties include housekeeping; material movements; tracking and reporting work assignment status. Receive guidance from Team Lead and Supervisor.
Hourly rate of $16.00. Work schedule is 7:00pm-5:00am Monday - Friday and will include weekly overtime.

Responsibilities:


  • Complete training and stay current on all safety aspects of the work assigned.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines and procedures with no exceptions and immediately report any issues or incidents.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment per guidelines for all work activities.
  • Complete work safely and contribute to the safety of team members.
  • Primary work duty is depacking inprocess material. Process consists of standing at station and using small hand tools to depack material by hand. Steadypaced manual work with frequent breaks
  • Perform related depacking activities, material movement, and housekeeping (i.e., cleaning and facility maintenance)
  • Use manual pallet jack, hydraulic tilt lift, and potentially forklift to move materials and perform job duties.
  • Update paperwork as material is processed for accuracy.
  • Stack completed material neatly and transfer with cart.
  • Prep and place material in receiving bin.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area throughout the workday.
  • Record production accurately.
  • Communicate status to team members within and across shifts and other departments.
  • Participate in various meetings as required.
  • Potential to obtain forklift certification through LSPI training no prior experience required.

Requirements, Skills & Competencies:


  • Ability to read and write in English sufficiently to complete labor work safely as assigned.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) whenever in the work area.
  • Ability to complete work safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Ability to meet daily production targets.
  • Ability to accurately follow procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to accurately update depacking log.
  • Ability to display a good attitude and work in a diverse team setting; work constructively with team members.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and others.
  • Ability to take pride and ownership in maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Ability to pass preemployment drug screening.

Education & Experience:


  • High school graduate or GED preferred.

Expected Hours:


  • Must be available to work during night shift; 7:00pm 5:00am.
  • Shift schedule runs Monday through Friday.
  • Shift schedule and times can change based on production demands.

Physical Requirements:


  • Lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
  • Work up to 12hour shifts.
  • Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
