Job Summary:

The Janitorial Assistant Supervisor assists the Janitorial Supervisor in overseeing and coordinating janitorial operations for cleanliness, safety, and compliance within facilities. This role involves providing guidance to staff, monitoring inventory levels, conducting quality inspections, and assisting with scheduling and training. The Assistant Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring client satisfaction, and following company policies.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are necessary for success.



Responsibilities:
  • Maintain communication and respond to requests from managers, directors, and client partners
  • Inspect facilities to ensure quality management in custodial operations
  • Review job orders and coordinate custodial activities efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with company and client standards
  • Understand departmental expenses for budget maintenance
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleaning supplies inventory
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and equipment inspections
  • Assist in training new team members
  • Report maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 25 years of custodial experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of custodial machinery
  • Required interpersonal, computer, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

This role may have physical demands including lifting and extended standing and walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.


Physical Demands and Qualifications:

Standing, walking, pushing, balancing, lifting up to 25lbs, driving, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward.

  • Read cleaning instructions and navigate city roads
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Differentiate cleaning products and their uses
  • Follow safety protocols and use PPE
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and complete tasks promptly

Working schedule:
Monday - Friday ; Rotating Saturdays

Evening Shift: 4:30 pm In-time
Experience Preferred:
  • Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment use
  • Familiarity with floor care, including buffing and waxing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and task prioritization
