Lead infant daycare teacher/household assistant_

Seeking a very experienced baby daycare teacher who is used to caring for many babies 0-2 years on their own in a daycare setting. _

As soon as possible

8:15am-4:45pm Monday-Friday

$17-$25/hour depending on experience and fit.

Additional $2/hour pay that is given as a bonus at the one-year mark (about $4,000)

Minimum of 1 year, but hopefully many more


Teacher tasks:

  • Caring for and teaching 24 children aged 0
  • Occasional help with the toddlers, aged 24 years and my own children aged 6 and 8

Household Assistant tasks when children are napping:

  • Including but not limited to helping with
  • Meal prep
  • Laundry
  • Cleaning
  • Flipping the Airbnb on site

Requirements:

  • Very active and healthy:
This job is physically taxing (or a great workout depending on how you view it).

You may be pushing a stroller with 4 children 1.4 miles (total) to the library, or riding a bike/jogging with my children after picking them up from school.

  • Attitude of "I can help wherever is needed" (cleaning, caring for toddlers, babies, my children, other household task, food prep, errands, etc.)_
  • Multitasker (folding laundry while talking to a child about the book they are looking at, cutting veggies while the children play with playdoh at the kitchen counter across from you, etc.)_
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. We would like you to talk and sing to the babies exclusively in Spanish._
  • AA or BA in child development, education, or similar field_
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record_
  • Legal to work in the US_
  • At least 3 complete years as a lead teacher in a classroom for children aged 02 years old._
  • Experience caring for all aspects of infant care (feeding, napping, purposeful play)_
  • Experience caring for preschool aged children_
  • COVID vaccinated and booster, yearly flu shot, negative TB test, measles and pertussis vaccine, willing to get CPR/first aid certified, fingerprinted, and do the online child abuse mandated reporter training. (Sorry that there are lots of requirements, but I can help with the process and reimburse any fees after 3 months of employment.)_

Pay:
