Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Rural Carrier Associate to join our team.

As a Rural Carrier Associate, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural areas using a variety of vehicles and equipment.

This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.


Duties:


  • Safely operate a box truck, tractortrailer, or other designated vehicles to deliver mail and packages to rural areas
  • Load and unload mail and packages using pallet jacks and other equipment as needed
  • Follow assigned routes and adhere to delivery schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Previous experience in route driving preferred
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis
  • Familiarity with using pallet jacks and other equipment for loading/unloading
  • Experience driving refrigerated trailers is a plus
