    KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) is a mid-size engineering and construction management firm ranking in the ENR Top 500 for design and ENR Top 100 for construction management.     Position: Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer

    Reports: Geotechnical Manager

    General Qualities:

    Strong verbal and written skills.

    Has excellent Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to navigate through company internet-based systems.

    Proactive self-starter capable of setting a positive example for the staff.

    Strong time management and organizational skills.

    Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

    Willingness to work alternative hours, if necessary.

    Responsibilities:

    Perform geotechnical field investigations.

    Navigate corporate processes and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

    Cross-train in various lab areas and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.

    Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

    Participate in field assignments and technical support trials.

    Assist with report preparation, proposals, and client deliverables.

    Collaborate with engineering teams on project development and design.

    Travel to project sites across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and beyond as needed.

    Requirements:

    Required Education & Experience:

    0 to 3 years of experience of relevant experience.

    Previous internship experience a plus.

    Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related discipline OR Master of Science degree in relevant discipline.

    Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    40 Hour HAZWOPER certification.

    Experience in laboratory testing and geotechnical field explorations.

    Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO methods.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

    Advanced communication skills and ability to work independently Ability and willingness to work alternate hours, to include overnight hours as required by the project specific requirements.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    This role involves a mix of field, office, and lab work, requiring physical mobility and outdoor activity in various conditions.
