The Materials Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain, is responsible for establishing procurement and inventory management policies and procedures, managing department key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as ensuring timely review and disposition of MRB, excess and obsolete, RMA, and NCR impacted materials.
The Materials Manager partners with cross-functional teams to develop and standardize materials management best practices in the areas of Procurement, Warehouse, Sterilization, Financial reporting, and Quality Control.
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly reporting and management of Supply Chain KPIs.
- Leverage data to identify inventory trends, deficiencies, and opportunities to improve supply continuity while minimizing business risk.
- Collaborate with Quality team to ensure timely review and disposition of nonconforming materials.
- Partner with Finance team on the timely processing and disposition of excess, obsolete materials.
- Establish Direct Procurement standard work and training.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and RMA disposition alongside Warehouse Management.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on ERP/MRP systems optimization and reporting.
- Support Procurement and Finance teams with the establishment of standard cost.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of Supply Chain experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a Materials Management or Procurement role.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in Net Suite ERP (or equivalent) is required.
- Previous experience in the medical device or regulated industry
- High accountability for results strives to meet and exceed expectations.
- Ability to extract, manipulate, analyze, verify integrity, and report data.
- Solid time management/ prioritization and followup skills.
- Highly organized and meticulous, strong critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt to a fastpaced work environment.
- Takes initiative in seeking new ways to leverage available data for continuous improvement.
- Experience solving complex problems.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skillsets.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of applicable FDA regulations and ISO guidelines related to procurement.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
