Specific Responsibilities

This key role within the Performance Management team in Corporate Planning is to track and analyze capital programs throughout the year for Apache's domestic or international assets, including prior year investment program lookbacks as well full field lookbacks.

These analyses and insights are key inputs for capital allocation to assets and portfolio discussions. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Performance Management.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Analyze the capital efficiency trends for an asset's three-year plan and work with asset development teams to optimize the capital programs.

Work with asset development teams to track and analyze the efficiency of capital spending programs throughout the year by running fully burdened economics.

Understand underlying drivers of program performance at the field-formation level including well costs, schedule and well performance.
Develop insights on implications for inventory quality and depth and full field development.
Perform look back analysis on past asset capital programs to guide executives on future capital deployment decisions.
Establish investment efficiency of workover programs to guide workover spend optimization across assets.

Function as a key contact for Apache's asset teams, keeping them up to date on Corporate's perspective on the asset's performance.

Effectively communicate analyses and take-aways with asset management teams as well Executive management.

Coordinate gathering of information and assembly of materials related to the above performance management components for management and board presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related discipline
  • 2 years+ of professional experience in E&P operations, planning, commercial or business development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with and influence technical & business functions as well as senior executives.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Competencies
