About Hub Central Properties

Hub Central Properties is a property management group that manages over 1,500 units within dozens of communities in Washington and Oregon.

Our emphasis is on providing exceptional experiences for our future and current residents and setting up our management team for success every day.

Summary of Position

In this role, you will support the accounting team and partner with the General Manager and regional managers to provide accounting leadership and support.

The position is located in San Jose, CA and with hybrid office requirements. Candidates who are not in the local area will not be considered.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
Review reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and applicable schedules to ensure accurate reporting

Prepare the month-end close process

Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements

Oversee Capex lender reserve draws

File and pay all Personal Property taxes and Secured Property Taxes

Maintain in-house property tax and insurance impound reconciliations

Post annual adjusting entries from CPAs

Maintain W9 and issue annual 1099

Review and approve Accounts Payable weekly processing

Continuously look to improve and streamline accounting processes and procedures while also ensuring proper documentation

Build and support the company as they continue to grow

Work Environment:
Hybrid (3-4 days in San Jose office)

Business hours:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation
Full-time

85k-95k

The Ideal Candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required

5+ yrs. of accounting experience

Background working in a real estate business preferred

Experience with property accounting software, Appfolio experience preferred

Well versed in cloud-based communications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects at once

Thrives in a constantly changing environment

Ability to inspire and motivate people to thrive in their prospective roles
